I help brands define how they sound, feel, and connect in culture.

Originally from Tokyo.
My work has taken me from Sydney to Singapore and San Francisco.

I’m currently based in Brooklyn, New York.

I’m a sonic branding strategist, creative leader, and multi-sensory design specialist helping brands define how they sound, feel, and connect in culture.

My work sits at the intersection of sound, design, and culture, informed by media theory and behavioural science, exploring how brands build meaning and memory through sound. I focus on developing sonic identity systems, music strategies, and multi-sensory brand experiences that move beyond execution into long-term brand equity.

In 2019, I co-founded Studio Resonate, one of the first audio-first creative consultancies within the streaming and podcasting ecosystem. Built within the SiriusXM / Pandora / Stitcher group, the studio brought together a 50+ team of creatives, designers, audio producers, and developers to pioneer new forms of sonic branding and audio-led storytelling. Our work helped shape the B2B and media product narrative across Pandora, Stitcher, AdWizz, and SoundCloud, contributing to over $500M in annual advertising revenue.

My career has taken me across Australia, Singapore, London, San Francisco, and New York, partnering with global brands including Toyoya, Audi, Hyundai, Land Rover, Uber, Marriott, Diageo, PepsiCo, Frito-Lay, Salesforce, McDonald’s, Pandora, SiriusXM, Unilever, Cadbury, and Luxottica. Across these markets, I’ve developed campaigns, products, and platforms that combine narrative, design, and sound to create culturally relevant brand experiences.

Alongside my commercial work, I’m an active contributor to the evolution of sonic branding as a discipline. I’ve spoken at global forums including SXSW, CES, Clio’s and Cannes Lions, and regularly contribute to industry publications on the role of sound in shaping perception, memory, and emotion.

I’ve also served as an Advisor to the Oasis Consortium, helping establish global standards for brand safety and trust in digital environments, and have supported a number of startups including OpenWeb, AirService, and Airtasker.

At the core of my work is a simple belief: sound is one of the most powerful and underutilised tools in design. When used intentionally, it becomes a cultural signal, a memory trigger, and a bridge between brands and people.
